Today I want to chat about Kombucha. Which is obviously utterly unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I know you won't mind.

Let me start by stating that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water every morning to decrease inflammation or something like this.

He claims it is magical. I claim it's nasty.

While I understand this is going to seem spectacular (cause it is), I literally dry heave in the sight and smell of the early ritual to a daily basis. He loves that about me.

Depending upon this response, an individual would feel I would stay far away from Kombucha, directly? I suggest, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.

But for some reason, I continue trying it. I want to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies are very simple to make and filled with banana taste.

I am really a marketer's fantasy because each and every time I see someone I know loving a sip, or realising their favorite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I'm all,"Perhaps that one will actually taste decent!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the term appreciating because I find it difficult to think this stuff is really enjoyable in almost any sense of the term.

And spoiler alert. None of them taste great. None.

Even those which people claim are mild really are a significant no-go for me. They taste just like freaking sweet vinegar.

I am basically convinced that anybody who drinks this fermented tea stuff gets zero taste buds, or badly funky ones.

I've literally tried every single brand that my local market carries and I HATED, maybe not overdone, HATED every single one.

Yes, I know hate is a very strong word, but there is actually no other way to describe my emotions towards kombucha. And I only had to tell y’all of my true feelings on this one. Who is with me?

Believe me, I so want to take pleasure in the things because it seemingly has a ton of health advantages, but I will be the woman sipping a La Croix and reserving vinegary flavors for salad dressing. Thank you very much!

From no bake biscuits and effortless sugar cookies to those banana oatmeal biscuits, it's turned into a love affair that has gone on here at MBA for almost a decade today.

While I am not claiming these banana oatmeal biscuits are the least healthful (cause hello sugar and butter), I am claiming they are delicious.

They have the ideal amount of banana taste and a lovely chewy feel thanks to its oats. The chocolate chips are only an extra bonus.

Everyone who tried these banana oatmeal biscuits thought they tasted much like banana bread, but obviously with an completely different texture. We dug it around here.

And in my opinion, they're good a great alternative to classic banana bread.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT THESE BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES

All these Banana Oatmeal Cookies have a soft, buttery feel. If you're searching for a standard oatmeal cookie, this is not the cookie cutter you're searching for. I like these cookies somewhat on the back side side, so that I bake them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 minutes.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies are tender, chewy and studded with chocolate. The ideal use for all those unsalted peanuts!

I'll mention that the oats almost makes them look as a breakfast cookiecutter, therefore they are all types of amazing having a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the afternoon.

I did add some chopped peppers into a batch rather than chocolate chips, however, everyone definitely preferred the chocolate chips over the nuts.

These cookies are a fantastic way to this use those super ripe bananas sitting on your counter at this time. I won't even tell anybody that they're not actually breakfast cookies. Enjoy!

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature



1 large egg



1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 tsp ground cinnamon

3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:





Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add the mashed bananas and vanilla.

In a medium bowlwhisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Gradually add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.

Use a moderate cookie scoop (about 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then gently press on the tops of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Because these cookies don't spread much, this can give them a traditional cookie form.
